Workforce — schedules your team can actually follow
Plan shifts, track availability and publish rotas teams trust — without the weight of a full workforce management suite.
Managers still build rotas in Excel, then fix them in group chats when someone calls in sick. Employees screenshot the wrong week. Payroll chases hours that never matched the plan. Workforce is our future product for teams that need reliable scheduling — retail floors, care rotas, event crews and operations desks — without buying an HR platform they will never fully configure.
We are in discovery for Workforce as an MVP you could adopt, extend or use to validate process before a larger build. The model focuses on people, roles, locations, shift templates, swap requests and published schedules — not payroll, benefits and performance reviews in one bloated suite. Managers publish once; staff see only what applies to them on mobile.
The direction suits multi-site retail, hospitality, healthcare support teams, warehouses and internal IT on-call rotations. Because we implement workforce tools for clients, we care about clarity: who is on duty now, who is qualified for which station, and an audit trail when the plan changes after publish.
This page sets expectations early. Workforce is not live yet and is not tied to a named customer story — it is how we intend to approach team scheduling when we commit engineering time. When a prototype exists, it will be linked here with the same transparency as Garage and Service Manager.
Why teams choose this
Reuse weekly patterns, then adjust exceptions. Copy last month’s structure instead of rebuilding from blank cells.
Staff submit preferences and leave requests. Managers see conflicts before they publish a schedule that cannot be staffed.
Peers propose swaps; leads approve so coverage stays valid and you retain a record for labour compliance.
Area managers compare sites, fill gaps and move float staff without separate files per branch.
Published rotas push to phones with clear start, end, role and location — fewer no-shows from outdated screenshots.
Structured shift data exports for payroll partners. We integrate deeper time clocks in custom projects, not in day one scope.
Use cases
Practical scenarios we design for — whether you adopt a demo as-is or want a tailored build.
Retail & hospitality
Weekly rotas without chaos
Publish Friday for next week. Staff see station assignments; managers handle call-offs with suggested replacements from qualified pool.
Healthcare & care teams
Coverage rules respected
Mix skills and minimum headcount per shift. Highlight gaps before patients or residents are affected by understaffing.
Events & venues
Crew lists that scale up and down
Build temporary teams per event, confirm attendance and message last-minute changes to everyone on the assignment.
Operations & IT on-call
Fair rotation documented
Rotate weekends and nights with transparent history. Handoffs include who is primary and escalation paths.
Product screens
Interface previews from our MVP direction — real pixels where available, structured mocks where we are still building.
