Garage is our answer to a problem we see in every workshop and many households: vehicle information lives in PDF invoices, WhatsApp photos and memory. When the second car, the company van and the trailer all need different maintenance schedules, something breaks — missed inspections, duplicate parts orders or no visibility into fleet cost per kilometre.
We are shaping Garage as an MVP you can adopt, extend or treat as a blueprint. The goal is not another generic CRM with a car icon. It is a domain model that understands VIN or plate identifiers, odometer readings, service intervals, attached documents and who performed the work — independent garage, dealership or in-house fleet manager.
The product direction supports individuals with one or two vehicles, independent garages that want a light client record without enterprise DMS weight, and small logistics teams that must prove maintenance compliance. Because we build software for a living, Garage will ship with sensible defaults: mobile-friendly forms, search that tolerates partial plates, and exports accountants actually use.
This page describes the MVP we are building in the open. It is not a finished reference installation at a named client — it is an honest preview of how we think about the problem. When the interactive prototype lands, it will live behind the same quality bar as Finance Flow: real data model, real screens, no fake portfolio claims.
